I was skeptical of the Paleo Restart program because I couldn’t find any reviews of it. For a one time fee that was in the same neighborhood that others charged for their Paleo cookbooks, you get a Dashboard interface with weekly meal plans, weekly shopping lists, and daily encouragement, instruction, and self-assessment. I decided to give it a try because I still had a learning curve to go through.
It was worth every penny.
Paleo Leap was started by Sébastien Noël, who suffered from many undiagnosed ailments for years. His Paleo journey includes understanding how some substances are caustic to some people, which can lead to migraines, IBS (a generalzed term to collect a certain set of symptoms, but without clear cause or treatment), and a whole lot of other discomforts. His approach is to examine foods for how they can adversely affect you, not to choose a diet based on how we think our genetic ancestors lived. Because of this, the choices of what you include or not in your Paleo diet can be much more of an educated and personal choice.
Paleo Restart is a 30 day program that you pay a one time fee for, but can revisit as much as you like. In fact, once you complete the first 30 days, you can restart the Restart immediately or whenever you’re ready, and most of the meals are new. You can do a total of four 30 day programs, but the site is always available to you. There is also a downloadable cookbook which contains most of the recipes you get through the program, plus quite a few more.
I highly recommend this program for anyone who is recognizes that their diet is making their life uncomfortable and trying to make positive changes, but having a hard time getting started.
